Following WASD successful conference co-organized with the Joint Inspection Unit of the United Nations system (JIU) in the Palais des Nations – Geneva in 2018 as an expression of participatory, open and multi-stakeholder approach that underlies of the United Nations’ Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), WASD, for the third time, is thrilled to organise WASD 22nd Sustainability International Conference at the United Nations, Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland in the period 22-25 July 2024. More details can be found online: https://wasd.org.uk/listing/accelerate-sdgs-2030/ and there is also a short video to watch here: https://youtu.be/jHsEAU4G7qI?si=fYbwYe3xE5kTY6YG.
Please kindly note the call for papers is very short and will close very soon as there are very few slots available for presentations and they will be offered to the first individuals confirm their participation. To take advantage of this opportunity, please submit your paper ASAP.
The conference aims to address the key question (practical and theoretical) of how to accelerate the pace of the Agenda 2030 implementation at half-way to its finishing line and the vital role of educational institutions in driving forward the implementation of the Agenda 2030 and its 17 SDGs. WASD will formally launch the SDGs Universities initiative during the conference.
The conference is expected to bring together more than 450 top experts in the field of sustainable development (SD) of UN officials, ministers, universities, high government officials and policy makers, company directors, academics, researchers, NGOs, women, youth, etc and leading individuals and institutions from around the world. The conference is therefore a golden opportunity for selected international public and private organisations that have played, and continue to play, a key role in achieving the 2030 SDGs to participate in this prestigious platform, and showcase their past, present and future projects, services and/or initiatives to the whole world. Clearly the conference is an excellent opportunity for individuals and universities to be part of this global event.
WASD has also designed several simple levels of sponsorship packages to suit a variety of corporate branding, image and budgets. Your sponsorship will make a significant contribution to the conference by giving our delegates from developing countries and students the opportunity to attend the conference and meet with colleagues from the rest of the world. Therefore, your organisation’s name will potentially be seen and appreciated by many people across the world. We are also very happy to tailor a sponsorship package to meet your specific requirements.
I hope your university will be participating in the conference and you choose the most appropriate package for your organisation, please reply to this email asap to register interest and utilise this opportunity and join us in Geneva in July 2024.
